Pixar Animation Studios is a CGI animation production company based in Emeryville, California, United States. To date, the studio has earned twenty-one Academy Awards, four Golden Globes, and three Grammys, among many other awards, acknowledgments and achievements. It is one of the most critically acclaimed film studios of all time. It is best known for its CGI-animated feature films which are created with PhotoRealistic RenderMan, its own implementation of the industry-standard Renderman image-rendering API used to generate high-quality images.

Pixar were behind such films as Toy Story, A bug’s life and Monster inc.

Disney


Walt Disney Animation Studios is the subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company responsible for creating the company's well-known animated films. The feature animation studio was an integrated part of Walt Disney Productions from the start of production on Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in 1934. In 1986, during the corporate restructuring to create The Walt Disney Company, it officially became a subsidiary of the company under the name Walt Disney Feature Animation. The division took on its current name in 2007.

Disney were behind such films as Snow White, Dumbo, and Cinderella.

Studio Ghibli

Studio Ghibli, Inc, is a Japanese animation film studio. The company's logo features the character Totoro from Hayao Miyazaki's film My Neighbor Totoro.

Several anime features created by Studio Ghibli have won the Animage Anime Grand Prix award, including: Laputa: Castle in the Sky, in 1986; My Neighbor Totoro, in 1988; and Kiki's Delivery Service, in 1989. In 2002, Spirited Away won an Oscar for Best Animated Feature and it remains the only anime film to have done so.
